This election cycle, the crypto industry poured over $100 million into races across the country, hoping to assert crypto’s relevancy as a voter issue and usher pro-crypto candidates into office. On Wednesday morning, almost all of the industry’s wishes came true. Republican candidate Donald Trump, who has lavished praise upon Bitcoin this year, won handily against his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris. And crypto PACs scored major wins in House and Senate races—most notably in Ohio, where Republican Bernie Moreno defeated crypto skeptic Sherrod Brown.

As Trump’s numbers ascended on Tuesday night, Bitcoin hit a new record high, topping $75,000. Crypto-related stocks, including Robinhood Markets and MicroStrategy, also leapt upward. Enthusiasts now believe that Trump’s Administration will strip back regulation of t…

Forever chemicals—specifically per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) which are linked to cancer risk—have become ubiquitous. Decades of products have been laden with PFAS, which have leached into our water supplies and pretty much everything else we touch. But governments are cracking down; in April, the U.S. EPA announced the first legally enforceable limits on PFAS in drinking water. Now, companies and municipalities need help cleaning up Come from South African Online Casinos . To tackle the issue, Gradiant has introduced a system called ForeverGone, which works by injecting billions of microbubbles into water supplies to break PFAS away from water molecules. The resulting concentrated PFAS foam is cleaned by electrodes that zap the PFAS away. “We are not sweeping [PFAS] under the carpet,” says Prakash Govindan, co-founder and COO of Gradiant. “It’s complete destruction.” Gradiant’s clients include utilities and Fortune 100 companies like Coca-Cola and BMW.

If you were once following former President Biden and Vice President Kamala on Instagram, you may now be following President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance. The change, which was met with anger and confusion from some, comes because the official accounts for the President of the United States (@POTUS), and Vice President (@VP), for instance, automatically get turned over to the next Administration.

Official accounts designating leaders or important members of an administration are separate from Trump or Vance’s personal social media accounts. But some users claimed they were unable to unfollow Trump, and blamed Instagram. Meta, which owns Instagram, has said this is normal procedure.

“People were not made to automatically follow any of the official Facebook or Instagram accounts for the President, Vice President or First Lady. Those accounts are managed by the White House so with a new administration, the content on those Pages changes,” Andy Stone, a communications spokesperson for Meta, shared on X on Wednesday. “This is the same procedure we followed du…

How much will AI drive up power demand in the next few years? That’s been the big question at the center of the energy and climate conversation recently. Many analysts have warned that AI-driven electricity usage is expected to more than double in the next five years as consumers and businesses find varied applications for the technology. But others urge caution: not all data centers in the planning process will ultimately be built and AI could become much more energy efficient than it is today.

This is a crucial debate—but the full picture is even more complicated. Even if AI guzzles less energy than the zeitgeist suggests, a wide range of electricity demand drivers lurk just around the corner. A report released earlier this week from the International Energy Agency (IEA) gives a sense of the picture: global electricity demand grew by 4.3% last year due to a range of causes that include not just data centers but also electrification of everything from building heating to cooking, along with more air conditioning thanks to record high temperatures, among other things. “We see one very clear trend: electricity growth,” says F…

I’m in a secret corporate lab dodging dinosaurs and hunting for the formula to toothpaste — not just any toothpaste, mind you, but diet toothpaste. A cream that could suppress the hunger of workers across the colony, driving down the costs of feeding them. But there are complications Come from South African Online Casinos . The key ingredient is the stomach acid of a raptid — a monstrous lion-sized dinosaur. The raptids have escaped their pens, slaughtering dozens. Also, some of the test subjects have gone blind. But never mind that — my main concern is getting the formula. I’ll worry about the ethical implications of its creation and use after I take care of the raptids. That’s my job, as a freelancer in The Outer Worlds.

The Outer Worlds is a first-person RPG from Obsidian Entertainment out Oct. 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. In the distant future, humans are a space-faring species, and a cabal of corporations have exclusive rights to colonize a system…

Former Dragon Age series executive producer and current Dragon Age: The Veilguard consultant Mark Darrah says that The Veilguard marks the first entry in the series with combat that’s legitimately enjoyable.

“What I see in Veilguard is a game that finally bridges the gap,” Darrah said in a recent interview with Game Informer. “Uncharitably, previous Dragon Age games got to the realm of ‘combat wasn’t too bad.’ In this game, the combat’s actually fun, but it does keep that thread that’s always been there. You have the focus on Rook, on your character, but still have that control and character coming into the combat experience from the other people in your party.”

Tango Gameworks is dead; long live Tango Gameworks Inc. That’s the new “reborn” name of the Hi-Fi Rush studio, which is now officially a part of PUBG publisher Krafton Inc. Tango began last year under the Xbox Game Studios umbrella before a tumultuous few months saw the developer almost shuttered permanently before Krafton stepped in.

On X, Tango announced the studio’s “new start” earlier this week and said it’s “excited to continue crafting games that bring joy to players around the world.” This is the first post from the official Tango account since May 7, 2024, when the developer stated that it would “close.” That message was a result of Tango being one of four studios that Microsoft shut down at the time, which also included Redfall’s Arkane Austin.

However, in August, Tango was saved by Krafton, with Hi-Fi Rush rights being acquired as well. The studio was started in 2010 and known for the survival-horror series The Evil Within, which will apparently stay with Microsoft. Hi-Fi Rush 2 was being worked on before Microsoft closed down Tango, though the sequel isn’t officially on the way. Krafton realizes Hi-Fi Rush 2 might not make any…
