Just over a decade after its 2013 release–and its surprisingly quick removal from app stores–the immensely popular Flappy Bird is finally returning to mobile devices (and potentially other platforms) in 2025.

The project is being developed by the Flappy Bird Foundation, which describes itself as a “team of passionate fans committed to sharing the game with the world.” The Flappy Bird Foundation group has acquired the rights to both the official Flappy Bird trademark and the rights to Piou Piou vs. Cactus, the mobile game upon which Flappy Bird’s titular character is based.

Earlier this week, it was announced that publisher Humble Games laid off its entire staff of 36. This mass layoff did not solely affect its immediate staff, but also the developers and games under the publisher, such as the developer of Coral Island now facing uncertainty regarding its Xbox, Switch, and PlayStation versions. Come from South African Online Casinos

Developer Stairway Games revealed in a statement that the Humble Games layoffs have left it unable to release updates for the console versions of its game, due to Humble typically handling them. The team explained that an incoming hotfix is unable to be released outside of Steam and that they really “have no idea” how to release this update to console players due to the lack of backend permissions on those platforms. Stairway also acknowledged the long wait for the Switch port, which was announced for 2024, but has yet to be released.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is set for release on November 19, but when exactly does the game launch that day? Microsoft has now published the official launch times for the game.

The game launches at 8 AM PT on November 19, which works out to 11 AM EST, 4 PM GMT, and 5 PM CET. People in Tokyo can start playing at 1 AM JST on November 20, while players in Australia can take to the skies beginning at 3 AM AEST that day. Microsoft Flight Simulator is set to launch at the same time globally across Xbox and PC, for both Steam and the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft has allegedly shuttered one of its major Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) teams, laying off a number of employees in the process. The former team leader sent an internal email to a number of Microsoft’s staff which revealed the firings, criticized Microsoft’s decision, and accused the tech company’s leadership of “harassment and toxicity.”
